Educational Technology
During this course, I learned how to use technology in the classroom environment and the impact that technology has on students and teachers alike. My work correlates to the ISTE Performance Standards (International Society for Technology in Education).
Technology Article Notebook & Presentation
I developed a technology article notebook as a reflection of my commitment to staying current in this field of study. There is constant change in the technology field; my notebook project contains 5 recent articles relating to technology and education. In addition to compiling these articles, I created a narrated power point presentation on one of my favorite finds, Through the Buscope. The articles provided a lot of wonderful resources that teachers can utilize in their classroom.

Technology Lesson Plan Project
Below is a collection of 5 technology related lesson plans that I found while searching the web. Once I located the plans, I created a Google Doc and shared them with my professor. In an elementary school classroom, I could use this technology several ways. First, students could locate information on the web and then share it with their teacher. A group of students could also use this technology to work on a collaborative project. They could share information within their group while completing the assignment. They could go one step further and share their work with another group. Perhaps the second group would grade their submission based on a rubric from the teacher.

Website Resource List
During this course I created a web resource list by creating an account with Diigo. Diigo is a social bookmarking site. It allows the user to create an online library of his/her favorite websites. The user creates "tags" which are key words that reference and organize websites in their library. These tags allow the user to locate sites within his/her library quickly. This is a social site, meaning, other users can visit my site and read websites marked. The beauty of this is that I can also visit other people's sites as well. As a teacher, I can use social bookmarking sites to easily reference supporting material, and to look at other teachers' supporting material for ideas. For students, they could quickly access sites that I have previewed. A teacher could also refer parents and caregivers to links that may be of assistance to them and their child.
